The publisher presents this first bilingual selection of Melissanthi's poetry to honour the 80th birthday of an eminent poetess, who for over fifty-five years holds a special place in Greek literature. Since the publication of her (collected) "Poems" in 1974, Melissanthi's leading role has been forcefully reaffirmed.
