Οι επιστολές του Γεωργίου Α' προς τον φίλο του Uldall, από τις 26 Μαρτίου 1897 ως τις 8 Μαρτίου 1913, που παρουσιάζονται στην παρούσα μελέτη έχουν ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον, διότι χαρακτηρίζονται από ειλικρινή διάθεση στην εξιστόρηση σημαντικών πολιτικών και στρατιωτικών γεγονότων της παραπάνω περιόδου. Μέσα από αυτές διαφαίνεται η φιλοαγγλική πολιτική του Γεωργίου και ο φόβος για τη στάση της Γερμανίας στα Βαλκάνια.
