Στις 15 Οκτωβρίου 1927 και κατά τη διάρκεια της Δεύτερης Μεγάλης Συνέλευσης του Δημοκρατικού Λαϊκού Κόμματος, ο Μουσταφά Κεμάλ Ατατούρκ, Πρόεδρος της νεοσύστατης Τουρκικής Δημοκρατίας, ανέβηκε στο βήμα και άρχισε την ομιλία του. Πρόκειται για την ομιλία που έγινε γνωστή ως Atatork'on Nutku και η οποία διήρκεσε 6 ημέρες (συνολικά 36,5 ώρες). Μία αγόρευση που στην πορεία του χρόνου αποδείχτηκε μεγάλης ιστορικής σημασίας τόσο για τους Τούρκους όσο και για τους ανά τον κόσμο μελετητές του έργου του Ατατούρκ και της νεώτερης ιστορίας της Τουρκίας. Λένε πως η φαντασία μας όσο πλούσια και να 'ναι δε φτάνει τ' απίστευτα της πραγματικότητας, λένε πως μπρος στα πάθη μας υποχωρούν άναυδα τα λοιπά ζώα του πλανήτη, πως ακόμα και σήμερα παρ' όλες τις προσπάθειες να κατασπαράξουμε κάποιοι τα έχει των άλλων, εκτός από κείνα τον ταλαιπωρημένου πλανήτη μας, επέρχεται η ισορροπία που αργά ή γρήγορα φέρνει η φύση για τον εαυτό της και ο αγώνας του αδικούμενου. Αυτά, λένε, είναι αποτέλεσμα της εξέλιξης τον σωστού και δίκαιου ως πιο ισχυρού απ' το κακό και τ' άδικο. Η αλήθεια δεν έχει άλλη διάσταση ανάλογα με τις ιστορικές περιόδους...
