Στην πολύχρονη και γεμάτη συνταρακτικές εμπειρίες καριέρα μου, βρέθηκα συχνά πολύ κοντά στο θάνατο. Για ένα μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα σαν ελεύθερος ρεπόρτερ και για ένα μικρότερο σαν συνεργάτης μυστικής υπηρεσίας, μου δόθηκε η ευκαιρία να εργασθώ πολλές φορές στην "πρώτη γραμμή". Πέρα από τις καθαρά επαγγελματικές μου υποχρεώσεις, τραβούσα και μερικές φωτογραφίες polaroid για το προσωπικό μου αρχείο.
