Ο τόμος 46 στην σειρά του Βερολίνου της συλλογής των βυζαντινών ιστορικών πηγών γνωστής ως Corpus Fontium Historiae Byzantinae δημοσιεύει τα Χρονικά Παρεκβόλαια, ένα ανώνυμο ελληνικό χρονικό, το οποίο σώζεται στα φύλλα 17-32 του υπ' αριθμόν 1889 ελληνικού κώδικα της Αποστολικής Βιβλιοθήκης του Βατικανού. Ο τόμος παρουσιάζει τα Χρονικά Παρεκβόλαια ως πρωτότυπη σύνθεση, η οποία χρησίμευσε ως οδηγός πηγών (Leitquelle) και ως πρότυπο εργασίας (Arbeitsexemplar) για την Σύνοψη Χρονική, ένα επίσης -και περίπου- ανώνυμο χρονικό, το οποίο καλύπτει το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του υπ' αριθμόν...

The "Apology of Socrates", written by Plato, is the speech of self-defense which Socrates spoke at his trial in 399 BC.
