Αφηγείται την ιστορία των πρώτων σύγχρονων Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων στην Αθήνα, το 1896, μέσα από τις 57 φωτογραφίες που παρουσίαζουν: τις εργασίες αναμόρφωσης του Παναθηναϊκού Σταδίου, την προσέλευση των θεατών σε αυτό, τους αθλητές την ώρα που εκτελούν ασκήσεις καθ'ως και τους νικητές κατά την απονομή των επάθλων. Το βιβλίο αποτελεί ένα θερμό και ζωντανό φόρο τιμής στους αρχαίους καθώς και στους σύγχρονους καλοκαιρινούς Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες. Η επιστροφή των καλοκαιρινών Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων του 2004 στην Ελλάδα, ύστερα από 108 χρόνια, σηματοδοτεί την ανανέωση των αυθεντικώ...
