Ο Κωνσταντίνος Απ. Βακαλόπουλος (Θεσσαλονίκη, 1951) εργάστηκε ως ερευνητής στο Ίδρυμα Μελετών της Χερσονήσου του Αίμου (1977-1986) και από το 1986 είναι καθηγητής της Νεοελληνικής Ιστορίας στην Παιδαγωγική Σχολή του ΑΠΘ. Πραγματοποίησε πολυάριθμες έρευνες σε αρχειακές μονάδες του εσωτερικού και της δυτικής Ευρώπης και έλαβε μέρος σε διεθνή και πανελλήνια συνέδρια.

The "Modern History of Macedonia (1830-1912)" by Professor Konstandinos Vakalopoulos has already been published in Greek in 1986. The English edition is being released in a few days, initially in Greece, but hopefully throughout the world later, especially where Hellenism abides.
