Η ιστορία του ιερού χώρου των Δελφών - παρουσίαση των σημαντικότερων μνημείων με αναπαραστάσεις ώστε το "τότε" να συμπληρώνει το "τώρα" - τα σημαντικότερα εκθέματα του μουσείου των Δελφών

Ο τόμος αυτός είναι αφιερωμένος στην εξερεύνηση των αναγνώσεων του Παυσανία και των σχέσεών τους με την ανακάλυψη της Ελλάδας κατά τους νεότερους χρόνους, καθώς η "Ελλάδος περιήγησις" είναι το κείμενο εκείνο που συνδέθηκε όσο κανένα άλλο με την αναζήτηση της ελληνικής αρχαιότητας. Στην ιστορία του υπεραιωνόβιου Μουσείου, του κτηρίου και των εκθέσεών του, αποτυπώνονται επιστημονικές και αισθητικές αντιλήψεις που εκφράζουν επώνυμους αρχιτέκτονες και αρχαιολόγους αλλά και το πνεύμα της εποχής τους.
