Turkey, the Greek Ecumenical Patriarchate and Turkish Minorities

Turkey, the Greek Ecumenical Patriarchate and Turkish Minorities

This book argues against the unjust claims of Turkey on Greece's territorial integrity and sovereignty. It goes back to history of Christendom to prove that the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople is not just the head of the small Greek religious minority but it is the fountainhead of all Christendom. All Christians, Orthodox, Catholics, Protestants and other Christian churches consider the Patriarchate as their mother church. The Patriarchate has a history of 1.400 years. Therefore, it has the right to exist in today's Turkey and to continue to perform its ecumenical role as a greatly respected and a monumental religious institution. This work also supports the claims of the religious and ethnic groups regarding the basic and human rights of the various ethnic and religious minorities in Turkey.
