Intelligent Information Systems Applied to Complicated Defence Problems

Intelligent Information Systems Applied to Complicated Defence Problems

This book aims at reducing the uncertainty prevailing in cases of strategic and political decision-making and the associated errors of judgment by emphasizing on positive rather than normative thought. The modern methods of technical analysis and computational intelligence used, like neural networks, genetic algorithms, fuzzy logic and hybrid models, . answer interesting questions related to the Greek-Turkish arms race as an extension of the relations between the two sides, together with the Cyprus problem. Some of these questions refer to the importance of human resources in both this arms race and the alliance between Greece and Cyprus, the calculation of the "optimal defence burden" and the role of international politics affecting the Greek-Turkish relations with emphasis on the Cyprus full EU membership.
