The Economic Research Department of the Bank of Greece has taken the initiative to honour professor Xenophon Zolotas with the publication of this collection of 18 essays written over a period of thirty years, from 1961 to 1991, which were not included in earlier collections. Professor Zolotas has published many books in several languages, as can be seen from the comprehensive list of his works at the end of this volume. [...] The texts have been reproduced photographically to retain the appearance of the original.
